Following the instruction of the Additional District Magistrate, Social Audit Unit, North 24 Parganas vide Memo. No. 35/SAU/N24PGS/23-24, dated 21.08.2023, one-day training of VRPs in connection with Social Audit Process for the Financial Year 2023-24 was organized and held in the meeting hall of Barasat-I Dev. Block on 24.08.2023. District Officials of Social Audit Unit were present in the training. 76 nos. VRPs attended the training and Block Extension Officers like PA&AO, PDO, APO, SEO, FS(MNB)etc. imparted the training as trainers. Aspects of Social Audit in regard to MGNREGA, PMAY(G), NSAP, SBM-G, PM POSHAN(MDM) and 15th FC Fund were discussed elaborately. Trainees also shared their field level experiences of the preceeding years.
BDO sir also attended the training. During his speech, he reminded the trainees that there is huge tasks in relation to NSAP. He mentioned that number of IGNOAPS beneficiaries in this Block is 2008, number of IGNWPS is 1437 while number of IGNDPS is 55, totaling 3500 nos. under NSAP. He appreciated the trainers for their excellent work in the last year which enabled the Block to discontinue pension to a good many number of dead beneficiaries. He hoped for better performance this year.
